So , What Is a ‘Zombie Jamboree’ ?
WHAT IS A ‘ZOMBIE JAMBOREE’ ? Actually, we have two overlapping, related definitions for “ZOMBIE JAMBOREE”.
IN OUR FIRST DEFINITION, we see a ‘ZOMBIE JAMBOREE’ as a high-energy, RAVE-like event, with live Musicians performing in front of a Mosh Pit, filled with a throng of people collectively swaying, pulsating and moving to seductive rhythms as the music and atmosphere create an experience the people will remember long after they are back at home, back in their everyday lives.
IN THE SECOND DEFINITION, we see a “ZOMBIE JAMBOREE” as the main, featured — the “Jewel of the Night”, if you will — capping & closing a full day of activity, entertainment, excitement & pure, unbridled ‘camaraderie’, at a major outdoor“Signature Festival / Event” — ala the “BURNING MAN”, “SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST” and “COACHELLA” festivals
known around North America & the world.
Of course, those are three great, outrageous ”WEST COAST” events. We think it’s time to stage an equally great, outrageous “Signature Festival / Event” on the “EAST COAST”. And, that event is just what we have in mind for the ‘ZOMBIE JAMBOREE”, a true ‘happening’ over two successive, three-day weekends in Spring, annually. We have a locale in mind, easily accessible by car, luxury bus service, rail and, of course, air.
We also envision smaller, local “JAMBOREES” possibly being staged in coordination with local TV / Radio stations, Corporate Sponsors and Chambers of Commerce or other local Organizations, to serve as “feeder-events” leading up to the annual “JAMBOREE”, to help us find & identify Musicians, Musical Groups & Performers in general, who might be invited to showcase their talents at the annual “JAMBOREE”.

We really won’t know the answer to that question until we actually begin creating the blueprint. The answer will depend on many factors. Including: Funds available to plan, stage, ‘build’ & promote the “Signature Festival / Event”. So will the known & unknown Musicians, Musical Groups, Entertainers & Performers we recruit for the major “EAST COAST HAPPENING”. And, naturally, the venue and the locale.
We’re focusing on an accessible EAST COAST location with enough space to accommodate the main ZOMBIE JAMBOREE event and multiple Sub-Events & Activities, occurring at the same time, around a central core and outlying area — with the possibility of the outlying Sub-Events & Activities operating independently & simultaneously of other sub-events & activities, throughout the day and into the evening.
Those sub-events & activities will close down at 8:30, as attention turns to the main ZOMBIE JAMBOREE program: “ZOMBIE TOO… NIGHT !”
Our envision the annual ZOMBIE JAMBOREE occurring over two successive three-day weekends, ideally in the Spring. We also envision enough space for people who may want to camp at the site, in a location set up which won’t encroach on Sub Events or Activities, camping during the weekends and, if they choose, during the week in between the weekends. Motorhomes, RV’s, etc. included.
The central core area will be the location of the “ZOMBIE JAMBOREE” itself — the RAVE-like music / entertainment happening, “ZOMBIE TOO… NIGHT !”. The ZOMBIE JAMBOREE RAVE will begin at 9:00 pm, and end at 11:59 pm each night, on the Friday & Saturday nights. Sundays will draw to a close at 4:30 so people can begin heading home. Some people will naturally begin to leave earlier, while other people will linger later, grabbing as much ZOMBIE TIME as possible.
